Call name: Mike.  Mike was supposed to be the very dignified Summit.  It never worked!  If you met him, you'd just know.  Mike was named after the Motley Crue song by the same name, Take Me to the Top.  Mike is the Army Phonetic for "M" as well as the lead singer of Sixx A.M., Nikki Sixx's band.  Mike is also aptly named because his dad's call name is "Joe" so it just works!

UKC Group Placing, Multiple ASCA BOB Puppy, 2 Total Dog Awards, UR01, UR02, UR03, RLP-AOE, RLPX - AOE, RL1-AOE, RL2-AOE, AKC RA, ASCA RA.  2 ASCA Best Jr Handler, 1 Reserve Jr handler (Kam), and 1 High Scoring Junior (Rally) and to top it off, he added an ASCA Started Duck leg (STDd).  Mike earned all this BEFORE his first birthday.  We have huge hopes for this boy! Mike officially earned his first title at 6 months and 5 days of age with an RLP-AOE in APDT rally. All his scores were over 195 and in 3 of his 4 runs had scores over 205!  I'm very proud because my 12 year old daughter took Winner's Dog (best male) to finish Mike's UKC CH in February of 2014!

1 ASCA STD duck leg,

Against plans, and against odds and reason we added one more puppy in 2012.  Summit, or Mike as he's called around the house is another Brookridge dog we've been blessed with the opportunity to select with our pick.  Mike is loving, calm, and goofy!  He goes through life, literally seeing no boundaries.  I love his take everything head on attitude and solid temperament.  Mike is a lover, and a gentle soul.  A verbal correction and he will NOT do whatever it was again.  No matter what happens or where I go, I hear again and again..." He's SUCH a GOOD boy!"  He's a certified therapy dog and will be visiting schools and retirement homes with my mother-in-law when she volunteers.  He just has a way of touching people - be it a little girl who's afraid of dogs, twins who are painfully shy, or a little girl from Somalia who had 2 prosthetic legs.  This boy is an angel.

Mike earned 7 performance titles before the age of 1yr, earning entry level rally titles in all venues!  He finished his RL1 in APDT with scores all over 203.  He's also added 2 WD and a BOB/Group 4 in UKC while earning 2 total dog awards.  He has earned his Junior Handler, Kamryn a best junior and reserve best junior as well as a High Scoring Junior (rally) in ASCA! And to top it off, he added an ASCA Started Ducks leg (STDd) and 16 points towards his APDT (WCR) Rally Championship title.

Mike's mom is an AKC champion with both Rainyday and Thornapple lines behind her and his dad, Brookridge Jiffy Pop, is littermate to BIS BISS GCH Brookridge Pop Secret.

Mike is clear of the hereditary cataract mutation HSF4, and MDR1 Normal/Normal!  Lab results available on request.

The choice to pick Mike was tough as Whisper herself had pups on the ground; but this boy managed to stop my breath at least 4 times while I was evaluating him.  And he hasn't disappointed.   He's the perfect temperament fit into the family and lovingly sits by my side while the others go run chasing some toy we've thrown.  He uses the time for affection away from the others.  He potty trained in literally a split second with never a poop in the house.

He is a favorite at Lap It Up in Apex where I took them for puppy fun days.  I can bring all the others in, but he is who they ask about!  He's patient and kind and lives life with no obstacles in his path.  He herds me perfectly while I mow the lawn in big loopy circles!  I'm so thrilled with his development; he's just not falling apart or looking awkward through his puppy or teen stages.  I'm so excited for what this guy has to offer!!  Mike has the sole distinction (of all my dogs) of earning qualifying runs all the way through his ARCHX rally championship in the absolute minimum number of trials possible. Not a single NQ, nor a single run that didn't qualify on points. This boy is just solid, consistent, patient, and striving to please.

Look for "Mike" at Eastern AKC, UKC, and ASCA conformation shows throughout 2015.
